Amaya completed their Masters in Counseling Psychology from Boston College and their clinical internship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA in 2014.

Over the next 10 years, they deepened their clinical practice and expertise as a clinician at psychiatric hospitals in Providence, RI, and Chicago, IL, and by training as an EMDR Therapist (emdria.org), Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, Ayurveda Therapist (ayuskama.com), and has completed additional training in Sex Therapy, Couples Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, Internal Family Systems, and more.

Amaya previously ran a group psychotherapy practice, and has recently reinvented their practice into a state-of-the-art training center meant exclusively for highly motivated students and beginning psychotherapists who are interested in effective and creative modes of psychotherapy and healing arts.
